Since the start of CGM Homes in 1999, founder Billy Chenault developed his vision of quality craftsmanship combined by catering to the unique and exacting needs of property owners. He begins with a dedication to quality and chooses his sub-contractors and suppliers with care. He continues with true focus on each and every future homeowner’s particular dreams for their property. The end result is years of very satisfied customers and a true sense of pride in the company he has built.
This dedication to custom style can be found in the history of CGM Homes satisfied clients. In 2006 the “House to Home” magazine featured a Texas Hill country lodge home built by CGM. The following year, “Insite” magazine featured the 2007 Women’s Club House & Garden Tour which included The McClure’s Tuscan-style home in The Villages of Indian Lakes subdivision. Their home includes an imported Italian pizza oven, secret passageways for the kids and circular staircases. Skip forward a few years, 2012, CGM is featured in “At Home” magazine showing the Uvacek home that had suffered a devastating fire. The home was transformed into a beautiful Mediterranean home in Emerald Forest.
Five very different homes all designed and built by CGM Homes and the team of experienced and imaginative professionals. Each house was created to give the families exactly what they needed and everything they always dreamed of.
Fast forward to 2015 and the custom home building options by CGM Homes have only grown in scope and creativity. The personal attention given to each project has not been lost and new techniques, ideas and options have been added. To see what we mean, “Texas Living” magazine has featured CGM twice last year, January and August.
The O’Shea family found the perfect property in The Villages of Indian Lakes neighborhood, but could not find the home they had always dreamed of. After contacting CGM Homes, they came to realize that everything they wanted was possible. Originally from New England, they wanted to combine a coastal cottage feel with materials to suit the Texas climate. The end result was magnificent: a bright and airy home with plenty of functional windows and doors that invited family and friends to step outside and explore nature.
The Albrecht family had a different vision for their home. They valued old-world style and antique accoutrements. CGM Homes worked with the home owners and their designer from the ground up and did not leave any single feature to chance. Travertine columns, antique copper ceilings treatments, turquoise and mother of pearl drawer pulls and more work together to create an exceptional home experience. A unique dog room with hand painted murals and custom tile work give the family’s five pets a special place of their own.
Over the years, CGM Homes and Billy Chenault have brought many families from the dream of the perfect home right to the front door of its realization. In the world of custom home building, quality of design and materials is essential, but it is not the only goal. Each client that shares his or her vision of their dream home with CGM Homes can rest assured that Billy and his team will meet or exceed their expectations but also, make sure attention to energy efficiency and a sound structure are paramount.
